Aida Neimarlija joined the firm in April 2010. Prior to joining, Ms. Neimarlija practiced law at an international litigation firm Howrey LLP where she worked in the areas of Securities Litigation and Commercial Trial, focusing on complex commercial matters such as accountant’s liability defense, copyright infringement litigation, and contract disputes.
Ms. Neimarlija has a diverse legal background. After completing her Political Science Degree, she was a legislative intern with the Utah Attorney General’s Office. During law school, she interned at the Securities and Exchange Commission and served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge William A. Thorne, Jr. in the Utah Court of Appeals. Ms. Neimarlija also interned at the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor’s Office in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. As part of the prosecution team, she worked on war crimes cases that have had a significant impact on the Bosnian and international criminal law jurisprudence.
Ms. Neimarlija is also actively involved in many legal associations, including Women Lawyers of Utah, where she serves on the Board, and the Utah Minority Bar Association, and she also frequently participates in mentoring programs for law students. She has also participated in a number of speaking engagements, such as her 2009 presentation before judges and staff members of the Utah appellate courts where she spoke about the prosecution of war crimes in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Education
Ms. Neimarlija graduated from the University of Utah in 2003 with dual Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Economics, with a Minor in German Language and an International Relations Certificate. She graduated from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law with a Juris Doctorate degree in 2008.
